Here is the first entry to my new blog. I am a twenty-something girl living in the big city. I also have two (pretty wonderful) roommates. One happens to be the love of my life! The other, a great old friend. I have known both for quiteee a while, and have adjusted to being a secret, and 'unknown' cleaning fairy. It has come to my attention that these boys have just about no idea who cleans up after them. I think they believe someone must come in while they're sleeping and make this place look like an apartment someone, somewhere might actually want to live in.
They might think someone else follows them around, adjusting the throw pillows to look like they are straight out of a magazine. They might think someone else wipes (and sometimes picks one by one) every one of their little hairs out of the sink after they shave. They might think some magical fairy does every dish, wipes every counter, and keeps the place smelling like some fresh field in summer.
This blog is my place to share what is working for me. It is by no means a way of expressing I want to get out of this living situation. I love where I live, and who I live with. In this economy, the whole 'room mate' idea really works for us. It is just acknowledging to me, and maybe a couple other readers out there that we have some picking up to do. That we cannot let ourselves just give up on having a nice looking home due to our situation. Here is me opening my blog to anyone giving advice, and anyone with tips for me. I will also share what happens to work for me. So read on, and please feel free to comment with any tips or links.
